When Mary Gosselin opened the grill at Island Cove Adventures Mini Golf back in 2000, she didn’t know that much
about burgers. “I just told them to send me a good burger,” Mary admits. “I learned very quickly that a burger is not just a burger,” Mary explained. “I was soon asking if there was anything better and researching what influences a better burger. From there I studied and learned all about what makes a burger great.”
Everything tastes better when its cooked and served in the fresh air, according to Mary. Sitting at the outdoor café bar and watching your burger sizzle on an open grill that overlooks the island’s famed mini golf course, you know that statement is true. Grilled to perfection, you feel as though you are at a family cook out. That’s because you are.
Mary and her husband Ray are often the ones grilling for guests. The dynamic duo create a family atmosphere for
their summer employees and guests.
Grilled veggies, bacon and cheese are available toppings that are served within seconds of leaving the open flame. Now that’s fresh! Placed on a fresh bakery bun that is perfectly toasted on the grill, you now have a burger just
like Mom used to make.
Here’s the best part. This delectably delicious, freshly grilled, mouthwatering treat is just $6 or $6.50 with cheese! That’s roughly half the price of the average cost for a burger on Island. So go ahead and order two. “People keep telling me to raise my prices,” Mary said. “But here’s the thing. Most of our business is golf and families with small kids. We want people to be able to come and enjoy a full day that includes a family meal. We certainly did, you should too.
Located on upper state road across from Cronig’s Market, Island coves grill is open for lunch and dinner daily.
