Late Night Ferry Will Be Able To Get Festival Goers To New Bedford After the Show
Beach Road Weekend announced a partnership with the Seastreak Ferry for a special late-night service for festival goers. The late-night service provides another option for festival goers to enjoy an entire day of music. The Seastreak will pick up festival goers from Vineyard Haven after the final performances and bring them to New Bedford. Anyone who purchases a ticket for the ferry through Seastreak.com is guaranteed a spot on the boat. The Seastreak will leave at 10:00 PM Saturday and Sunday allowing guests plenty of time to enjoy the show and still arrive at the dock before it leaves.
To purchase a ticket, guests can head to Seastreak.com and select the New Bedford to Martha’s Vineyard Route. Be sure to select New Bedford as your departing locations and Vineyard Haven as your destination. You will then be able to select the special late-night service on Saturday or Sunday. Guests can also call 1-800-BOATRIDE (1-800-262-8743) and talk with a customer service representative to purchase a ticket.
Guests heading to the Vineyard will arrive at Oak Bluffs and take the Beach Road Weekend shuttle to the festival at Veterans Memorial Park in Vineyard Haven. At the end of the night, guests can walk to the Vineyard Haven Port and catch the Seastreaks late-night service to New Bedford which will board at 9:45PM and depart at 10:00PM.
“The partnership with the Seastreak is the perfect fit for Beach Road Weekend,” said Adam Epstein, CEO of Innovation Arts & Entertainment. “Our guests will be able to stay on the mainland and be able to enjoy everything the Vineyard has to offer during Beach Road Weekend without missing a minute of music.”
Beach Road Weekend will be held at Veterans Memorial Park on Friday, August 9 through Sunday, August 11. Friday night features JAWS shows on the big screens as The Cape Symphony plays the iconic score in sync with the movie. Saturday, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty headlines the festival with Boston-based band Dispatch, the North Mississippi Allstars, Mason Jennings, and Alejandro Escovedo. The festival closes out on Sunday with Vineyard favorite Grace Potter, Phil Lesh & Friends, reggae singer Matisyahu, funk & jazz band Galactic, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, and the Original Wailers.
