Edgartown Diner – BEST OF THE FEST – The best comedians are featured in this dinner and a show series at the Edgartown Diner. Tonight Opening for Comedian Tony Roberts is B-Phlat. The Diner will be open as usual, with a special seating and menu for the comedy show dinners. Seating and dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. Showtime is 8:30 p.m. sharp, and will run until 9: 30 p.m. The $39 per person menu includes a choice of New England Clam Chowder or a Mixed Greens with Strawberry and Goat Cheese Salad to start. Entrée offerings are Jerk Chicken, Blackened Salmon, Meat Loaf, or Veggie Pasta with squash, peppers, onions, asparagus, zucchini, and farfalle pasta. A choice of two sides is available to accompany each entrée choice: seasoned jasmine rice, creamy mashed potatoes, expertly prepared chef veggies, and golden fries. A special desert of Strawberry Vanilla Frosted Cake a la mode (vanilla ice cream) will cap off the meal.

What began in 1997 as a one-night concert featuring the work of seven dance choreographers has since ballooned into a week-long extravaganza reflecting the island’s remarkable artistic spirit. It now programs dance, theater, spoken-word, comedy, music and more conceived by over forty groups from near and far representing a broad array of styles by performers of all ages. Illumination Night is a Vineyard favorite. Traditional Chinese paper lanterns are ornately hung outside of the delightful gingerbread cottages that line the Oak Bluffs campground.
