TW: What is the best thing about being a comedian?
D’Lai: The best part about being a comedian is the travel and the fact that no one can ever fire you. All you have to do is keep talking!
TW: When you want to laugh who do you turn to?
D’Lai: My Uncle Sherman who is 5’0” and, in the year of our Lord 2024, STILL rocks a curl.
TW: What is your best advice to someone who wants to be funny?
D’Lai: JUST BE FUNNY PLAYA!
TW: How do you stay positive?
D’Lai: I listen to calming music… with NO words
TW: Is there anything you won’t eat?
D’Lai: Pork
TW: Is there a moment you are most proud of when you look back at your career?
D’Lai: Yes. Traveling to entertain the troops.
TW: Does anybody really like…?
D’Lai: Does anybody really like corduroy jackets.
TW: What is one thing you will never throw out?
D’Lai: A good pair of anything.
TW: Who is your biggest critic and what is this person constantly telling you?
D’Lai: My Uncle Sherman. He constantly lets me know that “no matter how high you go up in life, you still ain’t shit to me.”
TW: What are you looking forward to doing while in Martha’s Vineyard?
D’Lai: Having dinner with Barack & Michelle (Obama), while listening to smooth jazz and talking about old times
