A cozy warm friendly atmosphere at Edgartown Pizza

A pizza shop on island that not only strives to make delicious pizza but also puts all its efforts into helping the community in every way possible. It’s not just pizza at this shop.

“Our team is made up of year-round residents, where everyone here knows the business and have full-time positions all season long – some people have been here 11, 10, 8 years – it’s home to them.” -Danny Segal, owner of Edgartown Pizza

There’s something special about Edgartown Pizza and once you spend a few minutes inside the shop, you’ll understand what it is. It’s not just that the pizza is good – but as you see the comings and goings of people, you notice that extra hint of familiarity. That smile and hello as a new person walks in the door and that wave goodbye and thank you as they depart with their goods. It’s even more noticeable when the person that walks in is a regular, as the staff recognize and greet them by name, ask about the family, and really connect for those two minutes of interaction. That’s when you notice that it’s not just about pizza here – it’s about community.

An inviting porch with rocking chairs lends to the island feel of EP

On its 15th summer, Edgartown Pizza is a year-round pizza shop located on 244 Edgartown Road and Danny Segal has owned it since 2004. Of Canadian descent and having lived in Israel, you can tell he loves to travel. Because when asked about what inspires new pizza creations, the stories that he shares are of a land far away. For example, his new sandwich special of brie cheese, tomato, and cucumber all on ciabatta bread was inspired by a trip to Amsterdam he once took. The combination seemed interesting to him and he tweaked it to make it for his Edgartown Pizza! Specials like this can come and go – but if he sees they’re popular, on the menu it goes forever.

Listening and paying attention to what their customers want is rule #1 for the team at Edgartown Pizza. An island restaurant that prides itself on being accessible to everyone, affordable, here for the community, and very family friendly, the menu really reflects their values and mission. With nine other options for sauce other than tomato sauce on your pizza (BBQ sauce, buffalo hot sauce, buffalo mild sauce, ranch dressing, pesto, sour cream, ricotta, olive oil, garlic butter, and a blend of olive oil, garlic, and pesto), you know they really are ready to cater to your pizza dreams.

Delicious Pizza is just one of the many items offered at EP

And with eight new artisan pan pizzas, along with sandwiches, salads, pastas, all-day breakfast sandwiches, and their ever so popular steak tips and rice, Edgartown Pizza is a spot in Edgartown where a family of four (two kids and two parents) can eat for under $45 – which is tough to say about any other restaurant on this island. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly dining in Edgartown or a single guy hungry for a delicious meal, Edgartown Pizza is just the place.
