Long Point is one of my favorite beaches on the island. Located off of West Tisbury-Edgartown Road, the beach is part of a wildlife refuge that spans 600 acres and is open to all island locals and visitors. It is one of my favorite beach options because it allows visitors to relax near the saltwater and freshwater at the same time.
I arrived at Long Point and set out on a short path to beach. This beautiful path took me to a stretch of sand that sat right between the wavy, peaceful ocean, and a warm, freshwater pond. The landscape of the beach was reminiscent of a tropical paradise, and it set the stage for one of the most relaxing beach naps I have ever experienced.
