TW: My first job in comedy was…
Marsha: Roy’s Show Lounge in 1974. I was the house comic/emcee.
TW: What is the best part of being a comedian?
Marsha: Getting paid.
TW: What will you never do again?
Marsha: Be young.
TW: How do you decompress?
Marsha: I try hard not to “compress” in the first place.
TW: When was the time you were scared?
Marsha: Being scared is unpleasant. I try to avoid unpleasant things. I cannot remember being scared, scared. Nervous? Big shows in new venues can make me a little anxious, which we call “stage fright.” But that’s usually just your body getting amped up and ready. Otherwise, I am pretty laid back.
TW: Please share with us the last song you sang out loud.
Marsha: I sing out loud all the time.
TW: When did you last dance?
Marsha: I am a chair dancer.
TW: When was the last time you were nervous?
Marsha: See above.
TW: The last thing you learned was…?
Marsha: I am constantly learning. I Google everything. I just started a new “Marshacast,” called “Midnight in the MARSHAVERSE.” So. I am learning how to do that right now.
TW: What are you looking forward to doing and seeing while on Martha’s Vineyard
Marsha: I have never been to Martha’s Vineyard.
