The Wharf – THE DUKES (LIVE BAND) –. This is a must see band that will be playing a lot at the Wharf and have already garnered a serious following. THE DUKES are a high energy modern rock band. Followed by Jiggy Sunday’s upstairs (admission is FREE) with Reggae dancing and beat music with music by DJs D real Dubz & City One Sounds. If that’s not your pace go up or down a floor. Old Whaling Church Edgartown – The Martha’s Vineyard Concert Series kicks-off its summer with The David Bromberg Quintet. Guests are guaranteed an unforgettable performance. David Bromberg takes the word multi-talented to the extreme. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter, Bromberg is an artist in every sense of the word. Known for his quirky, humorous, and honest lyrics, Bromberg can play rhythm while simultaneously blasting out tunes as lead guitarist. He is perhaps best known for his “fingerpicking” style learned from blues and gospel great, the Reverend Gary Davis.

Considered one of the most influential guitarists of all time, Arlen Roth has toured the world with artists like Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, John
Prine, Levon Helm and more. Roth is also the founder and CEO of the new International Guitar Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. His daughter Lexie is an actress, musician and trained chef who has released three albums of original material, most recently a visual EP entitled “Move Me”. Music on the Porch begins at 6 pm and lasts for just over and hour. Admission is free.
