The restaurant’s extensive menu offers standard bar fare, including hearty burgers, sandwiches, salads, nachos, and munchies. But every dish is anything but standard. The portions are big, the food is cooked to order, and the quality is top-notch– especially the lobster roll.
Made with a generous portion of fresh local lobster piled high into a New England style toasted brioche ban and served with golden brown fries and creamy coleslaw, visit at least twice so you can have it traditional style–cold with a touch of mayo and spices–as well as poached in hot butter with select seasonings.
The drinks flow fast and easy at the Sand Bar. And thanks to the picturesque Oak Bluffs harbor backdrop, teams of tourists come to sip a few of the myriad bespoke cocktails, and/or the plethora of draft and bottled brews while sitting inside and watching the game or outside and watching the view.
Soft sand exists as the outdoor dining area’s floor, while the sun, moon, and stars are the ceiling. A more idyllic spot to enjoy great food in an unrivaled atmosphere is difficult to come by. This fun and relaxing restaurant is family-friendly during the day and early evening.
Late-night it morphs into a hot MV nightspot. But no matter what time of day you visit or what you order, you always leave nodding your head and thinking you will return again and again.
